Two months

Two months have already past, and I don't know where the time has gone. My little one is growing so fast, and I am enjoying every minute of it. Maddux is such a happy baby, and he brings so much joy into our lives and home. Motherhood has bestowed such a fullness to my life. I have learned so many things in these few short months. Some are as follows:

  • You simply can not change every time your child spits up on you.
  • Pushing a shopping cart with a car seat attached is an art. One must watch out for small children and low bins.
  • Your own child's spit up, drool, and throw up really isn't that gross.
  • Sleep is a luxury.
  • Nursing gets much easier after the first three weeks.
  • Nothing makes me happier than seeing my child happy.
  • You go through onesies like hotcakes.

The Two Month List
  • Measurements: 11.7 lbs [52nd percentile], 21.5 inches long [7th percentile],14.8 inches head circumference [7th percentile].
  • You smile like crazy. It makes mom melt every single time. Even when you're crying you will throw in a smile or two if mom is cooing at you.
  • You are cooing a lot, and we think your laugh is soon to follow.
  • When you are really happy your bottom lip quivers.
  • You are sleeping from 10:00pm to 4:30 then 4:45 to 7:30.
  • Mom loves getting up to feed you. She looks forward to you sleeping through the night, but she loves rocking you. Just you and her.
  • Your hair is getting thicker and longer. I've already had to cut your hair around your ears.
  • Your eyes are continuing to change colors.
  • You love your dad. You always smile when you hear his voice.
  • Your always happy, but you're the happiest in the morning after you wake up.
  • You can hold your head up with no trouble at all.
  • You love laying on your tummy and side; however, mom will never let you sleep the way [at night].
  • Mama's favorite thing to do is hold you after your tubby when you're all wrapped up in our towel.
  • You love to sleep with your hands up by your head.
  • You don't like mom to eat spicy food. It hurts your tummy way to much.
  • Not only do you focus in on the swing's fish mobile, but you smile at your fish. Dad calls them your fish friends.
  • Your bink is a hit and miss: sometimes you like it, sometimes you don't.
  • You love when mom and dad take you running in the stroller.
Mama and daddy love you, baby...
