Well, our little baby boy was born on May 16 at 12:25 in the afternoon. 7 lbs 4 oz | 19 inches long.
It all started the night before, around 8pm, when I started timing my contractions. They started out very sparatic [in time and intensity]. Around 11pm they started coming 8ish minutes apart. We headed for the hospital at 1:30am when they were 5 minutes apart. We entered to emergency room to find no one at the desk. We had to ring the bell 3 times for someone to arrive. When I finally go to the room they said I was dilated to a 2... that was it. They said to walk for two hours. However, 30 minutes later contractions were coming every 3 minutes and I had dilated to a 5. They gave me my saving grace [the epidural] shortly after that.
I eventually dilated to a 10 and they had me wait for an hour to push so the contractions could get the baby as far down as possible. I started pushing when they asked and it was the most amazing experience of my life. My epidural was light, so I could still move my toes, feel pressure on my legs, and feel contractions coming on [minus the pain]. I asked them if they could bring in a mirror so I could see my progress [something suggested in a book I read]. I am SO glad I asked for the mirror. It was so amazing to see the miracle that took place before me. Makay was so amazing. He helped the nurse hold my legs and counted to keep me focused on my pushes. He was so supportive every step of the way. I couldn't have done it without him.
Our little Maddux Makay was born an hour later. They put him on my belly as soon as he came out and I the tears wouldn't stop coming. I can not explain the experience well enough to portray my feelings. It was the most amazing, spiritual, loving experience of my life. Then to look up at my sweet husband with tears on his face as I held our first child will forever be a moment written on my heart. I will never forget the feelings that came over me.

9 days to go...
Only 9 more days until my due date. To be honest, I thought this baby of mine would have come by now, but he's just content to stay in his mama for a little while longer.
I had a doctor's appointment today. He said I was not dilated yet. I have been feeling great. I haven't had any pregnancy symptoms my entire pregnancy. These last few weeks haven't even been too bad. I'm just hoping that doesn't mean I will have a hard labor. Can I have cake and eat it, too? I guess we'll see...
These have been my staple pregnancy sweat pants. They are so comfortable!

This is the baby section of our bedroom. If it looks like it is partially in the bathroom it's because it is. This is the changing table Makay built for me. I LOVE it. He still has to put doors on it. He has done a really great job so far. I love the beadboard on the sides.
I have everything ready to go. All of the baby clothes are washed and put away. My hospital bag [the black bag in the photo] is packed and ready. The diaper bag [the orange bag on the changing table] is fully stocked with diapers, wipes, blankets, diaper rash cream, burp clothes, etc. We don't have crib bedding yet; however, the baby will be sleeping in a Moses basket for the first little while so we're alright as far as that goes.
