Finally 21... and have been for two years

It's official.  I am finally 21, and I have been for the past two years.  I got married young and have coincidentally lied about my age since then.

I apologize if you have been a victim of betrayal.

My birthday was spent with my aunt, uncle, cousins, and Makay in Nashville.  I am SO grateful for family.  My birthday was absolutely wonderful and I couldn't feel more blessed than I am right now.

My aunt and uncle (Amy and Doug) pampered me with relaxing bath salts, luffas, and a pedicure kit.   Does life get better than the tub, a bath, and a book?  I think not.

My sweet husband went overboard.  We generally don't spend a lot of money on gifts.  However, BYU-Idaho has come out with their Laptop Initiative.  Every student will be required to have a laptop.  SO... you guessed it.  Makay found a really great deal on a MacBook.  So here I sit in our living room, updating my blog on my very own MacBook!  I feel so spoiled!

My Life: Tool Belts and Drill Bits

Tool belts and drill bits.  Does life get any better than this.  I say unto you: Yay.

I'm not going to lie.  I love working with my husband every day.  I do.  I really do.  I do love wearing a tool belt and holding a drill.  I love the look on customer's faces when they see me coming through the door to help install their security system BUT I miss being a girl!  I miss wearing skirts.  I miss not having wood chips fall into my eyes.  I miss not being surrounded by boys burping and making other peculiar noises.  Who knew?

However, exchanging my purse and heels for a tool belt and wire strippers is worth the time I have spent with Makay.  I have had so much fun being completely absorbed in his life.  I have learned so much about him through working with him everyday, and I wouldn't trade my drill for the world... (unless your offering the new white dress I really, really want... but that's a whole other post... just kidding!)
